En oplanerad midsommar

Daily, Looks

Midsummer

// Maybe you do know what Midsummer is in Sweden, maybe you don't? It's basically a tradition of celebrating the lightest day of the year. Can you imagine that the sun actually doesn't set at all in the North of Sweden this specific night? I think Midsummer is one of my favorite days of the year, it's just such a charming tradition. Have you ever celebrated it?

Anyway, my plans were basically non-existent this year, I just didn't have the energy for it. Luckily, however, a few friends had done the exact same thing, so we decided to celebrate together. We started the day by walking to Vinterviken to have a picnic next to the water. Two of the girls had made these incredible wraps, super fresh and yummy! The weather was great too, so we mainly just enjoyed being there, catching up. Afterwards we went to the supermarket real quick to get the last few pieces for the evening. Then we prepared some food, drank a lot of bubbly and got ready a bit more. The evening went faster than fast and we played games and had great food (hint, the homemade cake??). Basically just had a great evening with friends.
