// This workout thing didn't really work out for me in Paris (lol). First of all, I started on a negative account this Summer since my illness during the Spring. In the beginning of my stay in Paris I just wanted to get into the rhythm of my life there, see how everything would work out. A lot of visits and school starting didn't make it easier for me to find my normal every day life there. I had a lot of things to blame, but I ended my year trying not to do too many things - so I had to prioritize. I obviously chose to have fun in Paris! By the way, did you know that gyms in Paris have a pretty high monthly cost? If you do find a place with a low monthly cost you have to pay a start fee on about 50€. It didn't feel worth it to be honest, especially not when I've heard that it is a pain to try to cancel the memberships. I also heard that the cheaper gyms were pretty shabby and boring. In the end I decided not to get a membership, not to gym, and had to solve it other ways.
I tried to do some smaller workouts at home and to walk more. I walked 30-40 minutes to and from school instead of taking a bus and if I didn't finish my goal of 10 000 steps I tired adding an extra walk if I found time. That way I could enjoy the city at the same time.
It worked alright, but I really do feel how my body has changed. Pay attention to the fact that I'm writing "changed". The muscles I started to build during Summer has obviously disappeared a bit, but that doesn't mean I think I've gotten fat or that I'm not happy with my body. For me it's more about feeling good about myself and I don't really pay attention to what others think. Anyway, I bought this kit a while back. A monthly detox with tea and fat burning gummies. A cup of tea in the morning gets me energized and a cup in the evening prevents me from snacking! I have no idea how and if the gummies will help, but it's fun to try it out.
Now when I'm back in Stockholm I've started going to the gym again and it's going to be interesting to see how my body (hopefully) changes back to where I feel my best! I'm so excited to get my routine back and right now I've started working out on the days where I feel like it and have time for it, which is pretty often. Later when I start studying and working again I will try to plan it more and to set a goal of how many days per week I'll go to the gym etc.
