1. Do more of what you enjoy
We often focus on the things we should do or have to do. We all have things we enjoy doing, things that makes us feel good - try to do more of that! Does it require a lot of your time? Try to plan it a bit or make a schedule so that you can find time.
2. Stand up for what you believe in
Too many things are happening in the world right now and there are many different and strong opinions out there. Always dare to say what you think, dare to take control to spread awareness within the topic. Your opinion is just as important as anyone else's, find the courage to make a difference.
3. Stop comparing
It might feel hard sometimes, but just try to stop comparing yourself to others. Do you feel anxiety about social medias? Unfollow accounts on instagram which makes you feel bad, for instance. I'm sure there are many accounts that doesn't make you feel like that, try to find them instead. Another solution, a bit more drastic, is to just delete your accounts that only takes energy instead of gives. Try to turn your anxiety into inspiration this year. You probably have a lot of things in your life that are good? You are great! Find the things you love about yourself and focus on those things.
Spread positivity and joy, not just to others but also for yourself. Try to be a ray of sunshine, you don't have to change all at once, but try to encourage a friend or co-worker with a compliment or just a smile. Start with one person per day, both of you will feel better. I have posted more tips within this area in this post.
5. Learn something new
Is there something that you would like to learn? Take small steps towards that direction. Do you want to make a painting? Start looking around on Youtube, buy some equipment and play a bit with it. Start somewhere to get closer to your goal, it doesn't have to be drastic at all.
